A New Year Relfection - closing out 2017 for the best 2018

2017 can only be described as a roller coaster. Originally when I looked back on the year, I felt like a lot of my life was based around work, and building my career, so I didn’t have a lot of positive things to say for my personal life. I think it’s really easy to think of a period of time on a larger scale and skim over the little wins and the work that you put in on a daily basis that will pay off in the long run. A dear friend of mine, Kendra Goheen, passed along her Post Game Review and it allowed me the space to reflect on my wins and challenges of the past year and the lessons I learned along the way.

What I challenge you to do is to take the time to journal what this year has brought you in terms of your wins and challenges, and allow that to inspire you to take note of the little things, celebrate everyday, and move into the new year with an open heart. Push yourself to find 15-20 things to add to each list, even if it's something that seems small. From this list, journal the lessons or gifts that these occurrences have brought you.

Is there a pattern in your lessons, or a theme in your gifts? What needs to be shifted in this next year to make a difference in this list?

I promise what stands out to you will be eye opening!
