"Why I do what I do has been for my kids.

It's why parents do what they do.
So when I volunteer I do so to help other parents do for their kids. This is not limited to two legged parents. I love animals and am a parent to quite a few of them.

So I guess what I am saying is I do what I do for kids, animals...because they don't always have a voice to stand up for themselves. So my Y is helping those who need a voice to help them."

" My why is to help people regain their health while I join them on their path to recovery. I find it rewarding and fulfilling to encourage, motivate, and inspire people to keep positive and to keep fighting. I hope to make an impact in my patients lives and brighten some of their darkest days."

Keesha Miller, NY

"My why is to help people become self-sufficient and reach their fullest potential. Societal oppression effects the outcomes of many peoples' lives and my goal is to help individuals see past the boundaries society sets for them. I think it's the most rewarding when people surprise themselves with their own success."

Rachel Silverman, NY

"I want to graduate from dental school in order to provide oral health to those in need. I would like to one day teach others the importance of oral health and encourage them to enter the profession so that more people can be cared for. I really look forward to instilling confidence in every patient, and changing the world one smile at a time."
